Get the most out of your Mark II coal stove by staying up-to-date on essential maintenance and care. Some maintenance activities you can perform include:
- Inspecting and cleaning the glass with a non-abrasive cleaner weekly
- Inspect the firebox monthly for any build-up of ash or creosote on or in the baffle and exhaust area.
- Checking the door and gaskets every heating season
- Inspecting all venting components for blockages, build-up, or debris and checking stove body for cracks every heating season
A certified hearth professional can help inspect your venting and clean all other needed elements. Always be sure your appliance is off and completely cooled before performing any maintenance.
